Discussion autour de Christophe Michalak

Lucas & Sherazade: Tell us why you have chosen Christophe Michalak?

Hugo : If you love desserts that look like art and taste like pure happiness, then Christophe Michalak is your man. Heis a true Master of Pastry. He isn’t just a pastry chef—he’s also a brilliant teacher, with several pastry schools inboth Japan and Paris.

Melina : Absolutely! From his early days working in top luxury hotels to becoming the World Pastry Champion in 2005, Michalak’s journey is just as impressive as his creations. And let’s not forget his role as the former Head Pastry Chef at the Plaza Athénée in Paris—one of the most prestigious kitchens in the world!

Anais : But what makes Christophe Michalak truly special is the way he changed people’s perception of pastry. He made it more accessible, more playful, and definitely more Instagram-worthy. No heavy creams, no overcomplicate decorations—just pure creativity and flavour.

Hugo : And then there’s his personality. He’s charming, energetic, and passionate about sharing his craft. He has opened his own pastry school, "Michalak MasterClass", created TV shows, runs three boutiques, and even designed  his signature line of "Kosmik" desserts—beautiful jars filled with modern, nomadic versions of traditional pastries.

Melina : In a word, Christophe Michalak is the man behind the sugar, the talent behind the smile, and the artist behind some of the most iconic modern desserts.

Anais : So grab a cup of coffee… or maybe a spoonful of chocolate mousse…

Hugo : …because we’re about to take a delicious dive into the world of Christophe Michalak
